| M/s. WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, Ilsfeld, manufacturers of size-reduction machines and briquetting presses during this year's Ligna+ 2003 will present the further developed one-shaft size reduction machines of the WL series which are distinguished by engineering proven in practice, robust construction, and a great stability. |
The one-shaft size reduction machines of the WL series - presented with an updated and appealing design - permit the size reduction of wooden materials of all kind, e.g. particle boards, MDF, solid wood up to extremely hard wooden materials.
Through a funnel material is fed from the top of the machine, pressed against a turning rotor by means of a hydraulically actuated pushing device which is controlled depending on the load where they are reduced in size between the cutting-turning crowns mounted on the rotor circumference and the counter-knife. The chips produced are carried off and discharged through the strainer holes of a strainer being located below the rotor and enclosing it. Depending on the strainer hole diameter the chip sizes produced are between 10 and 100 mm. The square and turnable cutting-turning crowns have a concave shape and an edge length of 30, 40 or 60 mm. Depending on the grain size and the material the output to be achieved is between 100 and 5,000 kg/h. The series is offered with an electromechanic or a hydraulic drive of from 11 kW to 2x75 kW driving power. The machines that are manufactured in series with high piece numbers comply with all safety relevant regulations and therefore can be directly installed in the workshop area.
