The
single-shaft shredders ECO-II-III are low cost hopper-fed units
designed to fit the needs of small volume applications and the
need of large volumes that require small machines.
The machine frame of the ECO 600 is extremely stable and robust. The flat rotor is made of solid steel and is situated on the solid rotor casing. The knife holders are welded onto the outside.
The cutting knives are inserted into these holders and mounted at the back. This enables a quick change of knives and this way the screws are not damaged during the shredding process.
The concave knives are 4 times reversible und ensure a precise cut and increased output.
The infeed of material through a hydraulically driven drawer forces the material onto the turning rotors regardless of weight or bulk. This ensures a consistent shredding of material and therefore a higher output of material.
The sides of the drawer are so constructed that no material can be fed incorrectly between the hopper and the machine housing. The material is shredded between the rotor knives and the fixed counter-knife.
The shredded material is extracted through the screen which is situated under the rotors. The different screen sizes (10 - 40 mm) determine the size of the end product.
Strong motor
The machine is powered by an 11 kw -15 kw electric motor which gives the energy to the rotors through the V-belt and gear-box.
Robust rotor housing
The robust rotor housing guarantees the smooth running of the shredder.
The enclosed housing prevents material entering or contaminating the rotor housing which means the material can be left standing for longer periods.
Intelligent control system
The ECO 600 can be programmed through the PLC controls to switch itself off when the hopper is empty. If the machine overloads it switches to a reverse mode which
also relieves build-up in the drawer.
