AWFS is going “Green” this year and WEIMA America is supporting them
as the official recycling sponsor of the show. In addition to
providing a shredding system to reduce the amount of wood waste
generated during the event, we are offering additional information
on the importance of recycling throughout the show. See our “Destroy Responsibly” information located at the new Green Desk. AWFS has developed this area as a place where attendees can ask questions pertaining to sustainability practices and product. A WEIMA shredder is one product that can help you become more responsible with your waste by helping you reduce the amount of hauls to the landfill. In some case, there are ways to recycle the wood chips and use them for such things as animal bedding, landscape mulch or boiler fuel. In addition, see a WEIMA banner predominately located in the smartSHOP area on the show floor. The smartSHOP will feature a fully automated shop demonstrating machinery and processes of cabinet construction. The WEIMA banner, which displays the ECO 1 shredder, represents the perfect machine to be included in a cabinet operation.
