WEIMA America Announced as Recycling Partner for AWFS |

For the first time AWFS will establish a program to help reduce the
amount of waste generated during the show in Las Vegas July 15th –
18th. WEIMA America has been chosen as the official recycling
partner for this event. WEIMA will provide a shredding system that
will be in operation during show hours outside the Dock Door #4 in
Building C directly across from the WEIMA booth. During that time,
the shredder will grind all of the demonstration wood scrap as well
as any discarded shipping or packing materials. By reducing the size of bulky materials to a consistency of around 2” we can maximize the dumpster’s capacity. In turn, we will significantly reduce the amount of dumpsters and wood waste that will be going to our landfills. As an added bonus we have combined our efforts with a local non-profit organization called Greener Vegas who was able to find a home for the shredded material at the Springs Preserve of Las Vegas. This environmental conscience approach is a great way to show the public what we can do to help save our plant. Freeman and the Las Vegas Convention Center are also participating in helping to make this recycling program a success.
